David is an ardent advocate of positive change, with years of experience applying Life Transformation Strategies.  He has made his life purpose to inspire and empower individuals, seeing to it that they find fulfillment in everything they do.  His sense of mission stems from the experiences in his life, having overcome hardship and tragedy.

He embodies the core principles that make up DRI.  As the founder and Chief Empowerment Officer (CEO), David plays a key role in DRI, leading its vision, and ensuring that the institute is making an impact.  He also serves as an external liaison, working with a number of counselors and life coaches within the region, so as to be a leading driver within the industry.

David received a Bachelor of Business Administration from University of Southern California, and has had extensive experience as an entrepreneur, and in the financial world.  He is also qualified by the Strategic Intervention Advance Elite Coach Training and has had wide range of exposure in handling complicated relationship issues.

In 2021, David is honored to receive the Distinguished Salespeson Award from the Hong Kong Management Association.  This award is affiliated with the Sales & Marketing Executives International of the United States.  It is always referred to as the Oscars of the sales industry.

Mr. Francis Ngai

Advisory Consultant

Francis is Honorary Secretary and Vice-President of Hong Kong Computer Society in charge of Industry Relations, founding three industry sub-committees, namely, Retail, Travel & Transportation, and Construction industry.  Currently, he is sitting on advisory boards in various companies and organizations as well as being a doctorate degree candidate in HKUST with Innovation and Digital Transformation as his focus of research.

He was the General Manager of IBM China/Hong Kong Limited, overseeing IBM’s business and strategic development in Hong Kong.  Establishing the IBM Innovation Center in Science Park and nurturing customer innovation partnership programs were his signature achievements other than growing the business for HK during his capacity.  Consultancy and implementation of digital transformation programs for clients were IBM’s one of the major business portfolios.  Francis is always acknowledged as a transformational leader.  He was the one integrating the Digital Sales and Commercial salesforce in IBM.

Francis retired from IBM in October 2021 after his 34 years of service.  He joined IBM in 1987 with a bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, and International Business from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.  He ever worked in various roles in sales, channel, and technical functions in IBM.  Francis left IBM once to EMC for four years in 2000 as the HK General Manager, Channel Director for South China, and Sales Director for Industrial Sector in China, and then rejoined IBM in 2004.

Francis himself is also an active participant in the Hong Kong community and IT industry.  Other than HKCS, he is also appointed as the Chairman of the HK ICT Award 2021 organized by the Government.  He is also a member of the Cyberport Advisory Board, vicechairman of the eMPF Technology Committee in Institutes of Financial Technologist of Asia (IFTA), Chairman of the Curriculum Advisory Board of Data Science Business School of Hang Seng University, board advisors of the University of Hong Kong Business School, CUHK MBA Business School, while also serving the Community Chest as member in the Fund Allocation Committee.

Mr. Kenneth Cheung

Kenneth is a passionate and empathetic coach, who is an expert in building high-EQ, collaborative, and coaching-style leaders.  He strives to support his clients to foster a culture of high trust, collaboration and resilience at both team and organizational levels and achieve outstanding results.

Over the past 9 years, Kenneth has provided leadership development services for different clients in Hong Kong, China and SE Asia, covering topics on Emotional Intelligence, coaching-style leadership, multi-generational collaboration, design thinking, workplace communications, change management and career development.  As an ICF Certified Coach since 2016, Kenneth has provided coaching to over 350 senior executives, leaders, professionals and entrepreneurs.

Kenneth previously served as the Hong Kong office head of an international NGO.  He also had diverse cross-cultural and cross-functional project management experiences in the construction and logistics industries.

Kenneth received his Master’s degree in Management Science from Stanford University (USA).  He was the first corporate coach in Hong Kong certified in Conversational Intelligence (C-IQ).  In addition, he is a Certified Practitioner on Six Seconds EQ, MHS EQ-i 2.0/ EQ 360, Career Direct and Entrepreneurial Mindset Profile.

Miss Kit Shum

Expressive Arts Therapist

Kit is an empathetic inspirator with years of experience in psychotherapy.  Her life goal is to inspire others to find their own life goals, enjoy life, and become the best version of themselves.  Her sense of purpose comes from her tragic childhood and experience of life and death crisis.
 
Kit Shum is studying Master of Psychology and graduated from the Master of Expressive Arts Therapy, Master of Behavioral Health and Bachelor of Education from the University of Hong Kong. She is a registered arts therapist (ANZACATA), hypnotherapist, yoga teacher and teacher by the Education Bureau.  She also holds the professional membership of Hong Kong Expressive Arts Therapy Association.  Kit has had extensive experience as a psychotherapist in different organizations such as corporates, non-government organizations, schools, and private clinic catering clients of different needs such as adults with emotional disorder, children with special learning needs and family and relationship problems.
 
In 2015, Kit has won the champion award of Social Enterprise Startup Scheme by the Chinese University of Hong Kong and started her first social enterprise to support students with special learning needs.  She was working in Rosewood Hotel as a wellness practitioner and received wide range media coverage from TVB, Viu TV, TVB Pearl, Cable TV, Metro Daily, MingPao Weekly, Hong Kong Economics Post, South China Moring Post, Elle magazine, Vogue magazine and was an columnist for Yahoo Hong Kong and cosmopolitan.
